Cynthia Gail Alston, 53, of Johns Island, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 22, 2016. Her Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2016, 12 noon in Simply Amazing Ministries, 2023 River Rd., Johns Island, SC. Pastor Lonnie R. Palmer, Officiating. Interment will follow in Jerusalem AME Church Cemetery, Wadmalaw Island, SC. Mrs. Alston can be viewed at the mortuary on Friday from 3-7pm. Mrs. Alston will lie in state at the church Saturday at 11 am.
Mrs. Alston leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Albert Alston; children, Shavona Green and Nadine Green “Cookie”; siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Alston is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Gibbs and Handy Whiteside.
