Pasley's Mortuary announces the passing of Elder Joseph Powell of Charleston, SC who answered the Summons of our heavenly father to retire from the labors here on earth to his rewards in heaven on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at a local hospice facility surrounded by his loving family.

The relatives and friends of Elder Joseph Powell Sr. will celebrate his life on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM in New Zion RMUE Church, 4607 Dorsey Ave, North Charleston, SC. Bishop James Mosley, Officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. A Walkthrough ONLY Visitation will be held Friday at the mortuary from 2-6PM.

Elder Powell leaves cherish his memories, his children, Shirley Prentiss, Jeannette Powell Washington, Angelina Wine (Rev. Ronald), Durriyyah Shabazz (Miles Willard), Joseph Powell, Jr. (Shelia), Apostle Tyron Powell, Sr. (Barbara), James Douglas Powell, Janice Berkeley, Randolph Spann and James Spann; sister, Louise Washington; a Host of grands, great-grands, great great-grands, nieces, nephews and friends.
