Pasley's Mortuary announces the passing of Johnnie Smith, 80, of,  of James Island, SC who answered the Summons of our heavenly father to retire from the labors here on earth to his rewards in heaven on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Mr. Smith was a retired Paint and body shop worker with Rick Hendrick.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Johnnie J. Smith will celebrate his life on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Greater Refuge Temple COOLJC, 230 Huger Street., Charleston, SC. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A walkthrough visitation will be held at the mortuary on Monday 4-6PM.

Mr. Smith leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Doctor-Smith; children, Ivan Smith, Orlando Smith, Lashon Smith, Lashell Frasier, Caysha Nelson, Mia Cromwell, Barbara Ford, Johnnie Mae Drayton, Sandralisa Boatwright and Leroy Simmons; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncle, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.
