For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Mrs. Mary L. Hunter, 73, of Charleston, SC answered the Summons of our heavenly father to retire from the labors here on earth to her rewards in heaven on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mary L. Hunter will celebrate her life on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Nichols Chapel A.M.E Church, 57 Kennedy Rd., Charleston, SC. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the mortuary on Tuesday.

Mrs. Hunter leaves to cherish her memories her children, Terrance G. Hunter, Raymond B. Hunter and Kevin G. Hunter (Chrystal); brother, Joseph I. Butler (Cynthia); grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
