Mary Nelson

Mary McGill Nelson, 93, of Johns Island, South Carolina answered the summons of our heavenly father to retire from the labors here on earth to her rewards in heaven on Thursday January 14, 2021.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mary McGill Nelson will celebrate her life with a graveside service on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 11:00 AM in Greater St. Johns AME Church Cemetery, 4326 Betsy Kerrison Pwky, Johns Island, SC. Rev. Harold Jefferson, officiating. A walkthrough visitation will be held Tuesday at the mortuary from 4-7PM.

Mrs. Nelson leaves to cherish her memories her children, Willie Jo Nelson, Lucille Nelson, John Greene (Lydia), Phillip Nelson (Pastor Elizabeth), Francis Nelson (Robertha), Maybelle Jones (Alfred), Minster Alverna Graham (Carl), Rev. Dr. Raye T. Nelson (Corine), Jeanette Smalls, David Brown, Angela Cohen, Emily Thompson, Joseph Nelson and Mary Miller; 36 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and friends.

Due to COVID-19 Facial Mask is required at visitation in chapel and graveside services.
